I’m never sure if I should write this biographical information from the first person or third person point of view. It seems rather presumptuous to write about oneself in the third person (though not as much as talking about oneself in the third person).
My day job ~ I work in an architect’s office creating the blueprints for many structures like schools, libraries, hospitals and government facilities. The fancy title for the past five years is “Virtual Design Coordinator”, but in the end I draw, model and create buildings. I use virtual reality to allow our clients to see what their place will look like long before the boots hit the ground at the site. I work in the future. The things I’m working on today won’t be acted on until sometime in the next year, sometimes further into the future.
Working in the “future” like that is probably part of what has drawn me to science fiction.
I am, as the header says, a FAN, an author and an artist. I would have to say that being a fan is really what I’m best at, but I’m working steadily at the other two. I have been part of the team running the Watch The Skies science fiction and fantasy group and publishing the Watch The Skies fanzine for the past TWO decades. When I’m not working on a project or spending time with my amazing wife and daughter I enjoy the occasional video game or board games and I am an old school role player.
